Ballin in Bali
MARCH 1 - 5, 2018
We traveled to Ubud, Bali for our last hoorah before we all head our separate ways.
Our final girls weekend began with tours of the monkey forest, Balinese villages, a coffee plantation, rice terraces, and lunch with an unreal view of the Mount Butar and rice fields
Fun Fact: The beans from Luwak Balinese coffee, the most expensive coffee beans in the world, come from the poop of mongooses.
The following day we shopped until we literally dropped and had to treat ourselves to traditional Balinese massages.
Our last day in Bali began extremely early (2:30am to be exact) for a sunrise hike to the top of Mount Batur Volcano. The hike to the top of the active volcano was intense, but well worth the struggle for the once and a lifetime opportunity to watch the sun rise in the clouds. After the exhausting hike we relaxed in some natural hot springs and stopped by one more coffee plantation.
Bali was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t ask for a more perfect last weekend with my wolf pack. I’ll miss adventuring around the world with my Thailand BFFs!
